SurgeryAI wins Brighton Startup Roadshow

SurgeryAI, a smart scheduling tool for hospital theatres, has been announced as the winner of the Brighton Startup Roadshow 2025. The event, the first in the Startup Roadshow 2025 series, brought together founders, investors, and key players from the Sussex startup ecosystem.

Organised by South East Angels, the Startup Roadshow aims to showcase early-stage founders and foster growth in startup communities across the South East. The series includes events in Brighton, Guildford, Canterbury, and London, providing entrepreneurs with valuable opportunities to connect with investors, gain exposure, and receive constructive feedback.

The Brighton event featured a competitive pitch session where five promising early-stage startups from various industries presented their ventures. SurgeryAI stood out among the pitches, impressing the judges with the team’s credibility and focused vision.

SurgeryAI is an AI-powered SaaS platform streamlining hospital scheduling by combining machine learning with advanced auto-scheduling algorithms. From operating rooms to outpatient clinics, SurgeryAI helps hospitals prevent overbooking, reduce delays, manage resources, and keep operations running smoothly for better patient care.

Unlike static scheduling methods, SurgeryAI dynamically adjusts to each hospital’s unique constraints, improving efficiency while ensuring patient needs and operational requirements are met. The platform seamlessly integrates with electronic health records, reducing delays, minimising downtime, and streamlining hospital workflows.

Natalie (SurgeryAI) says:
"We’re thrilled to have won the Brighton Startup Roadshow and grateful for the opportunity to share how SurgeryAI is tackling one of healthcare’s biggest operational challenges. The event was a fantastic platform to connect with investors and fellow founders who are passionate about innovation."

Kristina Pereckaite (South East Angels) says:
Natalie delivered a compelling pitch that showcased that her team both understood the problem deeply and had the skills to develop a scalable commercial model for growth.
