The majority of our members are entrepreneurs who have exited their business in the last 10 years and some are ex-executives from large firms.
All of our members are South East based (this includes London).
We tend to attract forward-thinking entrepreneurial types who are passionate about investing in startups solving big problems.
-
One criteria of membership is that you are an active member of the group, this means making at least one investment per year.
Each member takes their own individual investment decisions.
The group shares investment opportunities such that all members have the option, but not the obligation to invest in any given start-up presented.
-
In short, no. Some of our members are new to investing and join the group for this very reason - to gain experience and learn from our other members who have been actively investing for a while.
Angel investing is risky so we recommend that you seek financial advice about how you invest and how much. We act as a community and we do not advise anyone to make investments.
We do occasionally arrange for experts to run upskilling sessions for our members based on the needs of the group. Ultimately though, we know most of the learning occurs between members sharing experiences.
-
We understand that some of our members have busy schedules. We make engaging in the group easy by running a high number of events so you have the option of attending some or all of these.
To get the most out of your membership and angel investment, we recommend you set aside at least 1h a week to focus on activity.
-
There are a few requirements you will need to meet to become a member and maintain membership. This is in place to ensure a high-quality, engaged, and valuable community for all:

You’re actively investing or serious about investing in the next 12 months (at a minimum, you are ready to deploy £10k+ into startups in the next year)
Acceptance of our community guidelines

Absolutely. A perk of being a member is that you can utilise our evaluation process as well as other member’s perspectives to vet startups that you find or that reach out to you.
